If you have the ISO already....any dvd burner.
If you need to rip the game, you need one of the LG DVD-ROM drivces to rip the game to an ISO. Then you can burn with any dvd burner.

Yes, those are the D2B chips.
So far there is not a compatible modchip for the D2C chips.

You need to install a chip to play backup disks.

I've been using isonunt and mininova. But everytime I've finished downloading the 4.4 gig iso file, and try to open it, it says file is unrecognized or not recognized. Why is that? I download the ones with a lot of seeds and leechers. This is when I try to winrar it. Anyone else get this error? I'm using peer guardian and uTorrent.

What you mean? I just click "download torrent" and wait till it gets finished. I click the 4.5 gig winrar file when it is done to extract it, that is when I get the error.

hey i had the same problem and i changed my mode to PIO aswell but i GUARANTEE you itis 100% a physical problem with the dvd,jus wipe n try again, fortunately this does not corrupt the ISO in the making in any way, trust me its all about persistance. There really should be a sticky to this problem coz it happens all the time and no-one really replies to people when they ask about it. Hope this helps. -sLibs

the file extension is usually a .iso or a bunch of .rar
When it is a .rar, after I have downloaded them all, I click on the first rar file and it unzips all of them. Either way, there is a problem reading it. Not sure why.

Go back into the BIOS (Motherboard Setup). You will need to go under EIDE or IDE and make sure everything is set to AUTO or AUTO-Detect. You should also make sure that the drive is jumpered CS or Cable Select.
You do not need to boot all the way into Windows, to see if the drive will show up. You only need to verify that the drive shows up in the BIOS. If the Drive is not detected in the BIOS, Windows will not detect it.

Are there any PAR2 files included? If so, run the file with the .Par2 extension. You will need the application QuickPar installed. This will make sure that the RAR files are correct.

Bigd1234, there are no PAR2 files, only a bunch of rar files. So when I'm done downloading them, I usually click on the first rar file and it does the extract for the rest. It will get about halfway complete and get an error message.

Hi all, great thread!
I have a problem, here's my situation.
- Wiikey added today to my 3.0e wii by a game shop
- Downloaded a game today
- it was already in iso mode, no need to unscramble
- burned with ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 on a Verbatim +r with a LG GMA-4082N burner
My wii doesn't detect the disc when I insert it.
What can the problem be?
Thanks,
Ferris

Just purchased Game Copy pro. According to GameCopy Pro their FAQ's their software will allow you to make backup copies of Wii games without a Mod Chip. Is this incorrect. Everything I am reading including links on GameCopy Pro membership pages says you have to install a mod chip.
______________________________________________________________________
From their FAQ page
Will I need to install a Mod Chip on my console to play my backup game?
Game Copy Pro now includes information on how to play all of your favorite games on you PC, no console, or mod chip needed!
______________________________________________________________________
I wasn't intending to install a Mod Chip, that's why I read through the FAQ's before purchasing, now from what I am reading they are not stating the truth about their software or am I missing something?
Also if you live in the US, you cant get bit torrent from their website. So their bonus "Free Game Downloads" ...isn't

windex LOL not the best but alcohol or something in that nature, i used a cloth or even paper towel but u have to be very careful because scratches are so easily manifested, im sure you can buy cleaning kits or even devices that scratches off a layer but im ok with just wiping them with anything that wont damage it, sometimes it takes me 5-10 wipes before it actually gets past a certain section of the dvd, i ussually look at how big the ISO is when it stops so i know where it last stopped and if i went past it, hope that helps

try searching the forum coz i think i saw a pst about this, apparently its bs but i dont know first hand, IMO i'd just get the wii chipped, its safer IF you do a little research, i say if because of firmware updates, bricking etc.

thanks a lot, tho i havnt got it working lol, what is a jumpered cs or Cable select, i am using a HDD cable to connect it- my bios doesnt have eide or ide - says sata 1,2,3,4 number 4 says not detected- in bios it does not show my lg drive but after it does(think its asking if i want to boot from it) i can still use it to read dvd and cd's.
wen i use rawdumper it only has pioneer then i click on the convert raw to iso - it then opens a screen where i need to open somthing- i click on my LG drive and it takes a while to load- then it says ''the disc might be corrupt. make sure the disc uses a format that windows recognizes. If the disc isunformatted, you need to formate it before using it''
please can any1 help me, ive bought this drive 3days ago and ive not been able to use it for its 'purpose' lol
