I installed my wiikey, but when I try and put in a game using rawdump 2.0 I get "An error has occured. Press the eject button and remove the disc then turn the wii console off etc...." I burned the setup disc for the wiikey and it loads it in gamecube mode no problem, although when I hit save it doesn't seem to save the settings because when I reload it, it shows the default settings. Can I assume that the wiikey is working if it loads the set up disc? Would anyone know what I am doing wrong if the wiikey is working? I am using Maxell DVD-R discs with Nero 6 and a old plextor px 708a dvd burner.
Thanks

ok let me rephrase this , do you have any backed up games that work? If no then check your solder points on your chip, if you have checked them and they are fine then post exactly how you are making your backup (i.e. what media , which burning program ,what speed you are burning at etc..) and we will gladly try to help out

cheers

if you have burned the wiikey ISO and it is recognizing it i too would assume your chip is installed correctly, now is this your first backed up game or have you tried others, if it does it with others try using imgburn to burn your ISO works great

I've downloaded this torrent: http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/110542...www_InfoWii_net

Do I just burn all the files to a DVD and put it in a modded Wii or do I need to do something else?

Thanks!
here's a helpful hint ....start at page one, start reading then come back if you still have a problem we will help you
Wow, you're a friendly, helpful chap aren't you? I've read the thread from the start and it's all about copying discs when you have the game. I don't have the original game I have a downloaded torrent, hence me asking the question because it isn't covered in the thread.

If you believe it is you could've provided the page number instead of making nasty unecessary comments, couldn't you?

Jeff_73ca,

Thanks for your input. The only backup that I have been able to burn is the wiikey setup disc. I will try and use a different burner. Hopefully that solves the problem.

Newbie here so please bear with me. First time attempting a backup.

I have read all the pages in this post so far. I have backed up a game and created an iso file. The iso file itself seems good, 4.37GB (4,699,979,776 bytes). I then used imgburn(V 2.3.0.0) to burn the image to my DVD -R's(I used 2 different disks memorex 4x and sony 16x, both -R) I have a mad dog 16x burner. I tried buring at 3x and 4x. None of the disks I make boot on the wii. Unrecongnized disk it says on the wii. I have a wiikey and other backups work fine. As I said, this is the first time I am attempting to backup my daughters game.

I would appreciate any help
Thx

Just an FYI downloading torrent files is illegal and this site does not support that, which is why it isn't covered in the thread. I referred you to the first screen which is backing up games for people who ALREADY own the disc. Other than that you're on your own

you should burn to DVD and it will boot up right away as a gamecube game, just click on the window that you would if you had a game in it. hope that helps

@bandpromo..

talking about how to get illegal downloads or finding ways to steal games is what get's websites and forums shut down.

If you want to talk about how to get games for free from filesharing, I suggest you find another forum because that kind of talk here will get you banned.

The folks at afterdawn are not going to risk having a suit filed against them so you can find a way to get pokemon for free..

i just want to say well put krstofer and Flavioo maybe the mod's of this site will see this and send out a vacation for some people who are risking the site being shut down, what people decide to do with information is up to them but rest assure that this site does NOT support illegal activity

Geez some people don't appreciate anything i suppose!!

cheers guys
