Do you have a popup-blocker enabled.

Read the tutorial on the first page.
Read from "[FILECHOP REMINDER:] (??What is Filechop and do I need it?? - Answer) "
It tells you filechop.exe is included in the original Config 1.3 download. The link is below that.

Please help.
wii 3.2u (just downgraded from 3.4
wiikey 1 with wiiclip
have gotten mario party backup to work
but , tiger woods , animal crossing don't work so i figured i should update the wiikey
tried to update the wiikey... so i burned padded and non padded 1.9s config, 1.9s update, 1.4 config all as game cube... but, when i select the disc on the wii menu for all of these (it shows as a gamecube disk) the screen goes blank... I am burning using ImgBurn on a sony disc at 4x
should i just order a wiikey 2.. or should this be working??

Well a still haven't been able to get this working again. Anyone recomend a good repair guy that deals in modded wii's that might be able to fix this?

Hello, if you notice a little white text with a pencil in the top right corner of your post. It allows you to edit your post, instead of replying again.

This hasn't been updated, but I believe 1.9s is the latest update.

Do you have a gamecube controller?
There is a bit of a guide at the bottom of this review.

smokyrain, where can I get these updates and how do i..hmm...install them? Do I even need to do an install? I am not sure, really, how to do this. My friend sold me his modded wii and I am still learning about all this stuff. I don't even know where or how to make "back-ups" of wii games. Where can I go to learn that, too? Thanks for the help/advice.

It would be good if you could check with your friend to see which firmware it has on it.
A fellow afterdawn member "tuurtnt" has uploaded the wiikey discs here.
If your backups are working fine, then no I wouldn't run the updated firmware.
There is a bit of a tutorial here on how to use the firmware
There should also be a readme.txt with the download.

whenever I download a wii NTSC torrent it works just fine on my modded wii, but whenever I download certain PAL iso's or PAL EURO iso's they don't work. A few of them have but most of them don't. Like 9 out of ten don't work. How can I fix this? Should I update my firmware or just find some other torrent site? I am afraid to update my firmware in fear of losing the ability to play back ups.

Hi,i have a jap wii.I did'nt check the settings coz i did'nt want to mess it up.I bought it in mid 2007.I had original zelda us version & red steel(us)both of them working till this day surprisingly without any updates.All was well untill mario galaxy.It had the famous 001 error but was solved with the wii update & i had a blast ending that game.Then came smash bros brawl & it gave the error that the disc is dirty so i updated to 1.9b/x to fix it & i played it to my heart content.The thing is i never entered the settings & i did'nt know what firmware is my wii coz when i went to the settings it gave me the opera screen & i foundout through the forums that my wii is semi bricked.Anyways all was well.I got wii music & it wanted to update & i did it,it was all in english.After that i played wario shake & tombraider underworld,they worked.After many days of mario kart playing i wanted to play smash bros & then it happen ,i got the turn off wii error & it happened with mario galaxy,mario slugers & mario & sonic olypics(they all worked before.I have not installed anything not even the homebrew & i don't know how to go online on the wii since all is jap & my settings are gone.I do have a wireless router in my house,maybe the wii updated it self or something.Please help.I tried to go through the forums & i found nothing.I'll be very gratefull.thanks.

what i meant by the wii update to play mario galaxy was the update for the wii key to 1.9g.well after all this i did the wiikey updates same first 1.9g then 1.9b/x.I did them twice but to no avail.I even dont know what firmware my jap wii has.I updated last from wii music.Please help.I've duplicate channels what caused them i don't know.mariokart is running smoothly but sometimes it give the same error but after swictching off & on it plays smoothly,this happens very rare.there was no update in ariokart & its in eng.

Those of you who tried the flash installed by unplugging it at 70% and plugging it in when you're updating the flash on wiikey. You may have destroyed your wiikey. Some of you might have been lucky and been able to recover it by using the 1.9b recovery cd. But unfortunately, i didn't. My wiikey is offically broken by doing a bad flash. the Wiikey2 is supposed to be impossible to destroy it by using a bad flash. Sorry guys, you can in fact ruin your wiikey by doing this method.

This thread was pretty helpful in getting my wii to work on most games so here's my info.
My wii was v3.0u with 1.9g and wiikey v1. I could play SMG and Endless Ocean fine (plus the old games). When I tried Lego Indy/Force Unleashed they didn't work until I upgraded to 1.9s (full flash) and used the v1.4 config disc (enabled region free) which can be downloaded off the wiikey.cn site. After that the two games I tried worked (indy, force unleashed).
I then used NTSC Mario Kart to update my console to v3.1u and that was successful (no duplicate channels). I use TDK and Memorex DVD-Rs with no problems. Tried SSBB but had crappy GQ dual layers so it only let me start the game past the warning then errored but should work with better discs.
