Hopefully someone can help me. I have a US wiikeyed wii with 1.9s and 1.4 installed with the latest nintendo updates (thanks to my son) I believe 3.3 Now none of my backups work. Is there anything I can do to turn back the updates? Also I noticed that now I have 2 news channels and 2 weather channels any way to remove those? Thanks for any help!!!

Can some1 plz help me i installed a wiikey into my wii yesterday and so far have failed to read any un-official disks none of the config or update disks work its firmware 1.9s and my wii is 3.3E im using TDK DVD-R disks at the moment burning with IMGburn @ 4x can sum1 plz help

See if you can run (or at least load in the disc channel) Config or Update discs burnt in GCOS mode.
If not, that is a sign of possible physical damage to your chip (either soldering or fried chip). However before giving up try the Recovery disc

1) Have you tried to Recovery disc?
2) Do discs in GCOS mode work or show up in the disc channel?
3) How did you get double channels? Did you play an out-of-region game? Which one?

I just installed my WiiKey and updated to 1.9s. My Firmware in the Wii is 3.3u. I tried to play Force Unleased and it came up as "Firmware Update" I tried this and it stalled 1/2 way through.
What did I do wrong?

Need help guys. Sorry if I come accross as noob but cant find answers.
I recently burned some custom guitar hero games which worked fine. Then I installed the twilight princess hack for the homebrew channel.
Since then I have the duplicate channels and also the custom hero guitar games don't work. I get the "An error has occurred message".
I then deleted the homebrew channel thinking it was that. All my other burned games work fine.
Have I semi bricked my Wii?
How do I get my custom guitar hero games to work?
How do I erase my duplicate channels?
I have a Pal Wii, with wiikey chip on 3.3e firmware

Well i think I have it working again now. I was able to use the homebrew channel and turn back my firmware to 3.1 and installed the 1.9s wiikey config and it is reading my backups again. I still get disk errors more than i ever did in the past and now my dvd drive has started to make a tone of noise, so that may have something to do with the errors. I will look into that next. Thanks for all the advice!

Hi I just want to say your post is awsome and it really helped me. I have a question I purchased a wiikey 2 and was wondering if you could help me make the update/config disc. Please. Last time I used your update and config for the wiikey us version all I did was download it and made it an image file with img burn and it was really easy. will you help me out making the wiikey 2 update/config us version disc please.

Just download the update and rescue disk, extract them, and burn the image with imgburn.

No its a direct download and you can use winrar to extract file, and then you will have an ISO image to burn.
Yes there is a Readme.txt in each file after you extract them.

Hey I'm sorry to be bothering you but I'm still a little confused. I downloaded the boot/ config and the recovery disc and extracted them. But isnt the iso image supposed to be a like a round flame. I got the 3 stacked books. Is that right? I'm worried about screwing up my wii is there any way I can buy the discs off of you?

what you have is a winrar file. doubble click on that and winrar should open up and ask where you want to extract it to. Put it where ever you can find it easily and what you should have is an iso file and then burn with nero. You can click in the details view to double check the extension to make sure it is .iso

If you used winrar to extract the file, you need to check your Settings in Options and untick the .ISO, that way you will see your ISO file.

You should have this wk2RescueV1.2 which is 1.35GB
and this one wk2UsaV1.2 which is 1.35GB
That is the size in Windows Explorer , in each folder there is an ISO file and the readme.txt file.

Hi, ive been having this problem with the first wiikey for a long time now. Im getting the error #0001 when trying to play sum games. Ive finally gotten the update to 1.9s work thx to the info on this thread. The newest game that ive played with it and works is star wars force unleashed but like fifa 09, SMG or wii music it wont work and gives the error. Any suggestions on what should it do to make those work too ?

Sorry i im a noob at doing the recovery stuff. I know how to do everything else. Its just when i download the 1.9 recovery file i do not get an iso file. Instead i get 2 files and a bunch of bin files. What am i supposed to do? Sorry again im a noob at it.

How do I tell which firmware is loaded on my chip?
I have the wiikey v1 and can't remeber which firmware I loaded on this. It's been awhile. Is there a way to tell what's been loaded?
