Hi, i bought some days ago a psp, i have the version 2.7... how can i load iso's on my psp? i already downloaded "Fastloader v0.7", but when i'll go (on my psp) to "games - Memory Stick" it says "corrupted Data" (I'm portuguese so i suppose its like this in english)... If someone can help me please add me on msn...

if i use the version 1.5 (where can i download it?) there arent any disavantages (comparing to 2.5+)? What must i download to play ISO's on my psp?
I whould appreciate your help...

The truth is that you can´t load games with a 2.7 psp.And you cant downgrade either.

no you really cant downgrade.. and it says it there that's why i posted it!
don't try it, it wont work for you.
you will have to try and get a lower f/w psp.

Antomic,he has a 2.7 psp.
ProtoTyp3,yes you can,but only with a 1.5 psp.In your case,you cant,because only -2.6 psp's are downgradable.
Your solution is buying a modchip or wait for a downgrader.

Guys, aren't there certain games out there that require a firmware higher than 1.5? Don't certain games automatically upgrade psps with 1.5 firmware? What about those games?
I plan on getting a pre-modded psp soon, so with a pre-modded psp, which firmware is recommended to play isos via UMDEMULATOR?

yeah just about every game has an update above 1.5, even the iso's we use, but we use devhook that emulates 2.71 firmware so we can play umds on that or iso/cso files, so we are good man, and no umd emulator only works on a 1.5 sir, you can only do iso's and cso files on a 1.5 just read this section a bit alright, i recommend using devhook than that old school stuff, you can't get online with games with fastloader and umdemulator, dev hook lets you so its much better, plus web browser and all that jazz, the 2.8 devhook is almost done too

So you're saying even if I had a pre-modded psp, one that let's me switch between 2.71 and 1.5 firmwares on the fly, I would have to choose the 1.5 firmware, then use devhook to emulate 2.71 just to be able to play the iso using umdemulator? Is this correct?

if you have the mod chip it will let you switch easy, if you you have a 2.71 or 2.8 and can't downgrade, what im saying is that if you have a 1.5 psp you can get devhook and you can play iso/cso files as well as your own umds on an emulated 2.71 firmware, and when you want to get out of 2.71 and back to 1.5 you just take the battery out or hold the power button up for a while at the system menu. "i think your talking about the modchip though", you dont need devhook with the mod chip my friend, but if you have a 2.6 or under i would recommend just downgrading that to a 1.5 cuz you can do everything with it. The mod chip will let you boot games straight up

with the mod chip you don't need devhook to load games you can load them strait off the game menu on the ms.
