herrick,
Thanks for letting me know that I'm not as slow as I thought I was. Don't need any more discs right now or I'd request a PM as well on those TY's for cheap. lol. Thanks for the heads up though.
@MichaelP1,
Quit stirrin' the pot. lol.
@cincyrob,
Got my first 10 free printable CD-R's from OD today. No hassles at all. Thanks for the heads up on that. Now I need to find someone to share with so they can print on my new found discs. lol. rob you might give www.allmediaoutlet.com a look too. I have found some good deals there in the past and they have sent the real stuff every time I order.
Yeh MichaelP1 got the ProDisc's right. I did post a scan in cincy's thread tho with the scan of a ProDisc and it wasn't so bad. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating ProDisc but this scan came out good/mediocre for a change. I still buy TY and Verbs but had this laying around at work and burned the image to the only available media I had at the time. lol. Haven't watched it tho so it may be unworthy.

Be leary of shop4tech.com. They've been known to sell fake TY media. There shouldn't be any worries with supermediastore.com, rima.com, meritline.com, or newegg.com. I've even bought verbatim DVD+R hub printables off amazon.com with no problems. Genuine MCC003's.
greensman and herrick,
My experiences with prodisc have been similiar to cmc magnetics and daxon (benq media). They will burn ok and play ok right after they're burned but good luck in a few months, skip, pause, or become completely unreadable/unplayable.

I found a 100-pack of TY DVD+R 8X White printable at Amazon.com for $38+$10 shipping. Does anyone know of a better price anywhere? I'll take the printable or shiny top, but I do prefer + format.

I do have an $8 gift card balance which would net my cost to about $40. I do have ~400 discs on hand - 100 true TY, 150 Sony MIJ and 150 Verbs. Guess I'm getting greedy in my old age here. Ha ha. Wonder when Google or PayPal will throw in another bonus discount for using them. Ah, the American way - commerce and trade competition! Ain't life grand?

the reveiws aren't that great at newegg read here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Custrating...N82E16827106055
i have a Lite-On drive/burner and love it ,Lite-On is as good as the BenQs but this drive isn't proven as of yet being its new to the market. the BenQ DW1655 has been around awhile and is proven to be a great drive/burner

Yujenh,
I can't say much about the drive you got but I do have a SHW-160P6S and a LH-18A1P and they are great. If I remember right MichaelP1 has a Liteon too.
My buddy has the LH-18A1P and the very first burn scanned out at 95, well here it is; a YUDEN T02:
I know this doesn't really help you with your drive but at least the other products (we have experience with) are pretty dang good. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

The main reason for getting this 20x Liteon is because the SHW-160P6S is out of stock in newegg. I guess i will look around online and see if the other place selling it. I knew that one is a great one because quite a few of you guys have it. In a fact, I think it could be almost as good as the Benq DW1650s right guys??
@michaelP1,
Yes, the review for the burner wasnt that great and thats why i came
here and ask you guys. honestly if i have to choose whom to trust, i would choose you guys anytime. Because i dont think you can really trust the feedback on the newegg.
@greensman,
Well, the scan really didnt help me much at all. it acutally made it worst. I was considering that 18x drive as well but the reason i got the 20x is because its better deal now and does lightscribe.

@Yujenh,
Why did it make it worse? I was just showing you the ability of the 18X drive (SHW-160P6S writes just as good) and maybe the 20X will perform good as well.
Now as far as the SHW-160P6S, you can always step up to the LH-18A1P and give it a go for a second drive in your system.
You can still get this one from newegg (if you don't mind beige). I know it's the 165 model (it has lightscribe) but has the same write technology as the 160 model. Mort81 correct me if I'm wrong and I'll edit the message.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106018
Good luck and keep us informed.

i'll definately let you guys know how it goes once it arrives.
the only other concern i have regarding the liteon is that the guys
at the newegg feedback mentioned they were little louder then the other brand. is that true?? it it loud enough to cause any concern at all??
