herrick,
Sorry but I don't really understand all of your question. Just rip it to a particular hdd or folder. Make sure you perform steps 3 and 4 after DVD Decrypter is done ripping. The disc may be ripped but the folder is not cleaned up. Then load it into the proggy of your choice to compress it to fit on a DVD5 or burn it to a DL disc.

AnyDVD6107 worked just fine with CloneDVD movie only, BUT not with either of my benq1650s. The lowly LG had no trouble; you just have to give the drive TIME to go thru that loaded disc. It looks like it's not doing anything but it is.

Save that movie only disc; it is a 100% no compression disc that I got. Just use the 6 channel audio and subtitles in you native language.

I did the CloneDVD & AnyDVD route (6.1.1.1) but I just did menu, movie, deleted scenes and 1 audio. It's all I usually do. Only 9% compression and yes it plays great.
Now same way w/ 6.1.0.7 - no go - unplayable.
Used RipIt4Me too and it worked - full disc.
Even playing the original DVD in my laptop or pc and Showtime just pops up a error w/ a red box - crash. WMP 11 asks weird on this one too - hard to start then starts skipping around.

Results with SawIII,
AnyDVD 6.1.0.7-CloneDVD no go, the first non working movie I've encountered, but I'm sure that they will update and fix it soon enough.,
Ripit4me-CloneDVD worked perfectly, entire movie.
DVDFabDecrypter failed to read source disk, unable to rip the movie.
Just goes to show, having several options at your disposal is good insurance. I'm sure there are other ways to crack this egg and all the people of AD will find each one of them soon enough, so happy ripping

Yeah, I have AnyDVD too but seldom use it since RI4M came along since the editing software (dvdremake pro) and the encoding software (rb/cce) I use requires that I rip the dvd to my hdd with an independant ripping utility.
If the folder is small enough to fit on a DVD5 after I have removed all the previews, adverts, warning screens, and unwanted extras with dvdremake, I burn it straight to a DVD5 with Nero, thus bypassing any encoding/transcoding software.

@cincyrob,
I don't have any movies on the camcorder discs but I backup my GameCube games on them. They are about 1.4GB discs. Haven't done any reasearch in the PSP forums but I think that is the disc you use for that. I'll look more into it just for my own sake. lol.
btw DVD Shrink (other shrink apps I'm sure will too) will let you make whatever size "image" you want. Say you wanted to make a multi-movie disc. You could reduce the movies down to 2.2GB's and put two on one disc. I've done that with the really "LONG" movies like Robin Hood and Pearl Harbor where you have "flipper" movie discs and 2 disc movies. Did that help any? Early here and trying to coral kiddies. lol.

cincyrob,
Ok I get it. lol. Yes you can put a movie on the mini DVD's. I think you have to get the proper software for the PSP tho. If I remember right DVD-RB Pro has the ability. You might do a search if you haven't already. Sorry not much help today. :O

The PSP uses a special disc called UMD. No recordable version exists, and this format is fading away as a failure just like Sony's Betamax, MiniDisc, SACD, Blu-ray (oops, a bit too soon on that last one. Wait a few more years.)
MiniDVDs hold 1.4GB of data. There are some DVD+R DL versions that hold double that, and all of them can hold a movie if it is compressed.
For PSPs, a better idea is to use and reuse Memory Sticks. Nero 7 has the "convert video to Nero Digital" option. Open that, click on the "Nero Digital Category" on the lower right, and select "Sony Memory Stick Video." I choose 468MB as the capacity and the 2-pass method of transcoding. The 468MB allows me to: 1) put an entire movie onto a 512MB Memory Stick, and 2) copy the files onto a cheaper CD-R for backup. The backup is handy because the 2-pass coding takes a long time, but transferring the CD-R back to the reused Memory Stick is fast. The video quality is poor on a monitor, but on a PSP or an iPod it looks excellent.

Do you think those UMD discs code out as YUDEN? :)
