just flatten the game and get a hdloader.elf file. open the hex editor and offset 0xAAC4C from 0100 to 2502 then save. install to your HDD and play ;-) This will fix both God of War & Rumble Fish so you can play the games on hdloader.

Only the 'Treasures' menu movies are removed.
In start menu-lineup.
The in-game cutscenes are intact.
And the new modes are available.
(I beat the game but did not get very far in challenge mode).

I had no problems using cd/dvdgen 2.0
just be sure when you are ready to make the .iso
All your files are in a folder named 'GODOFWAR'

there is one spot where my backup froze,
right after returning with the second necklace,
Took about 5-7 minutes and then the game continued.

It plays all the way through, unlocks god and challenge modes also.

The only content removed are the bonus movies in the 'treasure menu'

I use swap magic 3.3
I dont believe this will work on HDD.

I use swap magic.
I am not sure about using hdd.
I was told however that this method does not work for use on a hdd.

I have heard however you can flatten the image and load the godofwar.elf and it will boot off the HDD.

I cannot verify this, But i have read it posted here on afterdawn.

Hey guys,
I ran into a problem, I got up to the point where you copy the join.bat file into the split file and ran the .bat file but nothing happened. Did I do something wrong, everything up to this point seemed to have gone well. Now in my split file I have the .m2v, .d2v, and .wmv. Can someone help please.

Thanks

I finished making the "new.d2v" then the tut said to copy the join.bat file and put it in the split folder, I didn't erase anything cause the join.bat didn't make the new .pss folders. I need the new .pss folder to put into the extracted folder right?

Thanks for your help.

God Of War and it works awesome with Toxic Patcher Tool i'm using a DUO 2 SE Modchip

Also I tried these games too and it works:
GT4
Xenosaga
Champions Of Norrath

Bad News I tried MGS2: Substance with the patcher and I burned it and the game isn't working do you think I could of got a bad disc because the burn looks weird?

The burn had a light ring from the inside to outside about 1/6 of of the disc then it had a darker ring form the that mark to the middle of the disc if you ask me it seems like it didn't put some info on the disc.

I feel this could of been a bad disc but ithe pack comes in three, think I should call or go to CompUSA and tell them one of the discs was bad, and I already burned one disc that came out which was Champions Of Norrath so what should I do?

Hi, guys. This is a great discussion going on here. Anyways, I'm following the tutorial recommended by Lburna and the others(the one from BackupTools) and I got to the part where I create the ISO, using the iml and ims files; however, when I click properties to get the file size of part1.pak, it states " SIZE: 3.86 GB (4,147,292,160 bytes) " and "SIZE ON DISK : 3.86 GB (4,147,294,208 bytes)," which is different from the exact size specified in the tutorial 4,149,454,848 bytes.

I do not believe I can use the same method usinf their iml and ims; however, if someone with experience can help me from this point on with a step by step process, that would be greatly appreciated.

****BUDDYLUV****
Read page 17 or so of this topic. Many of us had the same problem, but were able to figure it out by trading information.

This is a little off topic, but I figured I would ask here since we are all talking about rebuilding games. Can anyone please direct me to a step by step tutorial for rebuilding Mercenaries that is comparable to Sonix's tutorial for God of War? I've seen lots of posts on how to fix problems with rebuildig Mercenaries, but I have not seen any links to any sites that offer step by step instruction. Thanks in advance for any information that anyone can post.

Nevermind about the iml file. I found out how to do it on my own. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know about when downsampling movies; does the bitrate of the file have to be a multiple of 16? I read something about interleave needing to be a multiple of 16, but does the bitrate have to be to avoid audio/video sync issues?
