Rename the files -
libpspvmc390.prx
pafmini390.prx
pops390.prx
popsman390.prx

to -
libpspvmc371.prx
pafmini371.prx
pops371.prx
popsman371.prx

Also, I'm presuming that you have dumped the 3.71 firmware :)

Sounds like you did not enable the plugin in recovery. Hold R while booting your psp, go to plugins, and enable pops.

And PLEASE tell me you are not on official 3.72!

Just to clarify on that a bit, popsloader works great on 4.01, meaning the same prx we used on 3.90 works fine on 4.01. But until DA updates the prx, we cannot emulate 3.80, 3.90, or 3.95 pops.

Well, it's freezing most probably because you haven't put the pops files of the corresponding firmware that you're trying to load :)
What did you actually do ?? :)

i install 3.8 loader to my psp , which has fw 3.9. i then use arpsp dumper to extract 3.4 and 3.7. but after seeing u said i can just use the ones u have i decide that would be much quicker. so then i extract the files to seplugin and all the pops and popsman etc to poploader filer. i turn on poploader.prx in my menu and left my kernel to 1.5 after wards i start game and ask for loader file i choose only the files i extracted 3.4-3.5 since they are the only ones that work with bof4. if i choose flash the games goes white screen. and sometimes if i choose another fw it will go black then shut off on me .

Where did you put all the .prx files [The popsman.prx, pops.prx etc.] ??? o_O
It should go in the ms0:\seplugins\popsloader folder and not in the "seplugins" folder itself >_>
Also ,change the kernel back to 3.90 :)

I only gave the links for the 3.71m33, 3.80m33 and 3.90m33 popslaoder :)
Upgrade your firmware :)
3.52m33-4 is outdated >_>
Besides that, you'll have to put the "EBOOT.PBP" file in a folder and put that folder in hte "ms0:\PSP\GAME" folder of your PSP :)
And about the keys.bin, well, that's not much required as most psx-psp converters convert the game and make it independent of "keys.bin" :)
Nevertheless, you can juz gOOgle for it :)

I suggested you to search for the "Keys.bin" in gOOgle :)
neways :)
Set your UMD mode to "Sony np9660" :) [Well, I dunno whether the UMD mode has any effect, but still try it out :)]
Put the folder in which you put the "EBOOT.PBP" file in the "GAME" folder only :)
Does the game show up in your PSP ??? :)

yeah, it shows but when trying to start it I get the dreaded can't start this game message(ca000005) maybe changing the game kernal?was originally trying metal gear solid, but am also trying crash bandicoot 2( since it's only a one disc game)but can't get anything to start I'm using the pops files from 300-3.72 I re-read your instructions and u say something about changing names of certain files inside the seplugins folder, you didn't specify if you needed that to be done ifyou downloaded the group of popsloader files could that be the issue of the problem that i'm getting? was reading other posts louljaboy said in his seplugins it's\popsloader\conf.bin\popstext\popsloader.prx\ and inside of the popsloader folder he has stuff that I have in my popsloader, but I don't have the files he has in his first popsloader folder. So my question now is how or where do I get those files as that's probably why I can't get the games to work correctly since my popsloader is incomplete!

@ knfusd :)
The ca000005 occurs cuz you dun have the keys.bin file :)
Download hte Keys.bin file from HERE and place it in the folder where you put your EBOOT.PBP :)

Plus the following files should be there in the following folders :)
In the "sepluigins" folder, there should be :-
pops.txt (file)
popsloader.prx (file)
popsloader (folder)
And then in the popsloader folder, you should have all those .prx files :)
Plus if you downloaded the file I gave :)
No need to rename them cuz I've already done those parts :)

@ thiphan87
Have you enabled the plugin in the recovery menu ??? :)
