@ Shayanzas :)
Sowwie man :P
There isn't any popsloader for 1.50
@ thiphan07 >_>
Can't think of anything else man >_<
Try updating your firmware to 3.90m33-3 and using the 3.80v2 popsloader >_> (No other slution is working fo me)
@ kouljaboy :)
Well, you'll have to rename the "Resident Evil 3" game ID to "SLPS-01222" before converting it to an "EBOOT.PBP" :)
See THIS for more info :)

Ack, ff7 doesn't work :( game doesn't start at all; file corrupted or something like that
4.01 m33-2
I recently upgraded to 4.01 m33-2 and i found out from a few threads that it comes w/ it's own popsloader and using the compatibility list, ff7 does indeed work on that version, but not for me
I tried using the popsloader on it too but the game doesn't start at all
Here is what I have:
-ff7 as an eboot w/ keys.bin placed in it's own seperate folder in GAME
-I combined all the image files using popstation_md; ripped the files from my own disc
Any help?

So does the 3.80 popsloaderv2 work on 4.01m33-2 also ??? o_O
Plus the "KEYS.BIN" should be in the same folder as that of the "EBOOT.PBP" :)
Plus if it still comes "File Corrupted", then it must be a bad rip of the game =_=

Hey Acidy,
First of all, thanks a lot for the guide, it's really well written and very clear. I really appreciate your efforts in writing and updating it.
Now on to my problem :P
I have:
FAT PSP 3.90 m33-3
Final Fantasy VII CD 1 as eboot with keys.bin in PSP/GAME/FFVII
Popsloader for my firmware
I copied all your files for all the firmwares in seplugins/popsloader (thanks again for the effort)
I enabled the plugin in the recovery screen
So i boot up my psp, start final fantasy from the memory stick while holding the R-button, but the popsloader screen doesn't pop up. I tried pressing the R-button both before booting, and while at the warning screen, but neither of the times the popsloader options showed up.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Any help would be really appreciated.
|| Edit - By the way, the game runs fine (without popsloader) until i get to the "new game" "continue" selection screen.
When I choose new game the screen goes black and remains black, nothing happens. I can still use the "home" menu but that's it.
When I choose continue I can choose a save game (but I don't have these yet since I didn't start playing)
I hope this helps in clarifying my problem.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem resolved. I just deleted the entire contents of my SEplugins (I had a music plugin installed), completely resinstalled popsloader and now I'm playing FF VII :D

Have you downloaded the popsloader for the correct firmware ??? o_O [I know stupid question but still =_=]
Also, what is the "exact name" on the plugin that you enable ??? :) [Another stupid question from me =_=]
Do you have other plugins installed ??? O_o

@ acidy;
Yup, the keys.bin is w/ the eboot in it's own folder.
the popsloader should work as long as i can even load the eboot (which i can't) - says file corrupted :-(
I used several cd rippers (I have my own discs) and none of them seem to work even though i followed the instructions perfectly
I didn't know that rips from the discs could be bad.
Maybe I can try to get the game from... other sources? muhahahaha

@ kakapuffs :)
Well, if it's coming 'File Corrupted', then try some other PSX - PSP converter >_>
But recommendation would be "Popstation GUI" :)
You can download it from HERE
In here, you do not need the "Keys.bin" either >_>
@ luckjim :)
Well, that's your firmware version :)
I think it's the official firmware >_>
Popsloader only works for custom firmware :)

@ acidy, :D
I appreciate you trying to help! I think I know why ff7 (and a whole bunch of other games) don't work;
I tried em all; every single psx-psp converter available on the internet!
psx2psp, popstation gui, popstation_md, cmd (manual compression >_>), magiciso, clonecd.
But I have come to the conclusion after hours of strenuous research that my ms is fake! from what i found out, fake ms can't read any files >1gb so that must be why! if not then my psp is as useless as a brick.
@knfusd
Metal Gear Solid does not work w/ popsloader. it cannot even be played. Better luck buying a gamecube and getting MGS: Twin Snakes (remake of MGS for PSX). must be a bug.

@ kakapuffs :)
aahh yeah :)
Fake memory sticks sure are a pain =_=
And that may also be the reason why plugins are not loading properly in some cases :)
Plus Metal Gear Solid works well on 3.52 and 3.71 pops :D
aahh MGS Twin Snakes for the gamecube :P
It sure had better gfx (Well, I'm not much of a gfx savvy person so I dun care much about this) and the "First Person Mode" is added :D
and aahh the Meryl trick is still there ;)

Yeah that trick is still there :D
But MGS for PSX seemed to have more options (time trial, those boss fights, kill guards, etc.)
Problem solved for me I guess!
Thanks Acidy!

Hi, I am attempting to run my Final Fantasy VII EBOOT.PBP file with popsloader (specifically, 3.71pops.) Your guide to running popsloader (in my case, 3.71pops) is great, but I have a relatively tiny understanding of how to do the steps. However I saw the link where I can download all the pops files required from firmwares 3.00 - 3.72 (without doing the other steps). My question is-- what do you do with all these files, like which directories of the PSP do which files go into? Thanks, I really appreciate your help... as you can imagine I;m kinda desperate to play FF7 and other psx titles ^____^.

In your seplugins folder, make a folder named popsloader. This is where you put the various pops files.
so it looks like this
ms0/seplugins/popsloader/what pops files you want
edit
By the way, VII works perfect using 4.01's pops.

In step 8-10, if I used the 3.80 fw, should I follow the "For 3.40 - 3.72:" and rename it popsman380.prx, etc?
