Sorry, but you will need a copy of Action Replay with media center to do this exploit...make sure you buy "Action Replay Max", and check the box to make sure it has media player.

there is a way to do it without the media player, i read in one of aces post that it was possible but hard. and i have ARMAX but i guees i have a different version

How can the link to version 5.1 be down? I checked again today and it's a working link. Look on my first post. All PS2 Exploit Utility links have been changed to one specific link.

For slims, there is no other way to do it with action replay if it doesn't have the memory card...
@Ace...
It takes forever to load -.-
EDIT: I just got an error, Problem loading page...looks like it's dead...tried a few times with no luck.

Oh, so you have a fat one...
Yes, there is actually a much easier way. Select the game you want to launch, then just do an undetected swap for your backup disc and it should work.
You could also do the independence exploit, ill give you some links later gotta run sorry.....

i tried the memory card one this time and cdloader came up and i selected it.. how long does it take to load.. i waited for a few minutes.. and it just kept spinning..

Hmm, that's odd. So you've tried a USB memory stick and all CD burning methods? Make sure you select a low burning speed for the CDs and that you have the latest version of all your software, including max media creator and the CDLOADER.ELF from Ace's post. It should work.....

Will the CD not stop spinning when you are trying to load CD Loader or when the CD Loader program is already started?
The ARMAX CD should still be spinning when you get to the media player. You will need to remove the sensor in the little notch over the power button which will make the PS2 act like the lid is open. Then you swap the ARMAX cd for the CDLOADER cd, put the sensor back in, and it will scan the disc and say CDLOADER.ELF on the screen. Then press play and it should run. You will need to do a detected swap like this later on to put your high TOC ps2 dvd in cogswaploader. Just follow the instructions carefully, I'm sure you'll get it.

You still need Cog-Swap if you want to play your backups. Keep the ELF on a USB Memory Stick or your Memory Card. It's up to you. Heck, you can even use all 3 for all I know. Try them all, and stick to the one you prefer(remember that you only need 1 uLaunchELF and CD Loader disc to try them all).

Hi , I trying to watch DivX movie in playstation2 slimline. i went through all the forum and i am all confused. Can you please help me with it? I have modchip in my console I am not sure which one because i got it with the console. I have a USB HDD and memory stick. how do i copy files to memory card? do i need swap magic when i already have a modchip? please let me know how to go about it to get my ps2 play DivX movies. thanks in advance

I am unfamiliar with zoneloader, I would recommend just following the instructions for cdloader, ule and cogswap. Have you been able to boot zone loader at all?

I know exactly what you need =)
Use Ace's instructions for burning a disc with ULE on it, but instead of adding the cogswap elf, add the SMS elf from here:

Then boot the ULE disc with your modchip like you would boot a backup and navigate to the SMS.elf file stored on your ULE CD. It should start SMS, a media player for PS2. It should then allow you to boot any kind of movie from your USB key or HD. Best of luck, feel free to ask any questions if you need some more help.

Yes, zoneloader boots up unlike cdloader. Zoneloader says to swap dvd/cd now.

My friend gave it to me.. and it dont matter at the moment because i broke the sensor inside my slim ps2 so i cant play even with the lid shut!

Yeah, i just put it on jumpdrive and loaded with max media player.. and it aint the laser.. its the sensor.. i was trying to tape it down better and broke it.

Hmm, so how exactly did you break it? What about it is broken really?
I am also sorry to report that I had no luck with Zoneloader, it just says to swap cd/dvd, i tried a few different combos of ways to boot like using other tools, but none work. Even just directly swapping to a backup game, which would be suggested by the instructions. Perhaps the tool needs to be used with swap magic. If you could get more information from your friend that would help.
Sorry about your dilemma with the sensor, hope everything works out OK.
