imateapot,
After ripping to HD then run them through VobBlanker and then take those files that were Vob'd and process w/ Shrink. See if that helps as you might be getting a structural warning as DVDD can not remove the newer encryptions. You can also try using AnyDVD as it now has FixVTS incorporated in the program and it does roughly the same thing as VobBlanker. There is a free 21 day trail of that program ( AnyDVD ) and VobBlanker is free

peter1976 ,
Below is a free program that should help you as it will take an .AVI file and make it DVD Compliant as I think that is what you d/l'd. If it is not .AVI can you let me know the file structure ( file extension)

Taken from the site:
CloneDVD mobile converts your DVD movies quickly and easily into a format that your portable device (Sony PSP, Apple iPod Video, iAudio X5, Creative Labs ZEN Vision, etc) can play. You can also convert your DVDs to other file formats, such as DivX, XviD, AVI, MP4, etc.
Watch your movies on the go
With CloneDVD mobile you can put your favourite movies or TV series on your mobile video equipment and watch them wherever and whenever you want. Let the kids watch their favourite cartoons in the car.
Incorporating the user-friendly interface of Elby's CloneDVD and the well-engineered open source project FFmpeg as the conversion engine makes CloneDVD mobile a fast, easy-to-use and quality product that is very reasonably priced.
Copying a DVD to your mobile video machine is achieved in a few mouse clicks and without the need to rip it to your hard-disk. Note that copying protected DVDs also requires AnyDVD.
Convert your video/audio file into the format you need it to be, then transfer it to your portable device.

peter1976,
What format is the movie in you want to convert. The program I told you to use will convert files to DVD-Compliant Structure. Is this a home movie or bittorrent since you d/l'd it
The wedding video should be in .AVI format and the program will convert it. Also NeroVision should be able to do it also

The program below will convert the files to DVD-Compliant files. Then you use Shrink after that. W/ your camera you should have gotten a program that will convert to DVD.
Avi2DVD

jsf10,
Use DVDFAB Decrypter and rip to HD. Make sure DVD43 is turned off as it causes problems w/ the other rippers.
Then use VobBlanker to correct the structural problems ( DVD43 can not do this)This is why you got that error.
Then use Shrink on the corrected files VobBlanker did
Shrink has not been updated to do the new encryptions in over 2 years. DVD43 can not decrypt all of the movies. Either use the method I suggested or Pay $39.00 to Slysoft for AnyDVD and then rip the disk to HD before using Shrink

I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this but I am rather puzzled. I have been using DVD Shrink v. 3.2 to make backups of my DVD collection and as of friday it would give me a cyclic redundancy error every time i started the backup. It would open the disc and start the backup then get sluggish and give the crc error. I thought maybe my laptop was broken so i tried my desktop and got the same thing. I tried over 10 different dvd's and all of them did the same thing. If it is my computer(s) how do i know, and if there are any other good dvd backup programs what are they? thanks for any help you may be able to give me!

gt3223,
That error can be caused by scratches on the disk, Bad Mastering Press or the Newer encryptions. Try ripping the DVD Movie to HD using DVDFAB Decrypter then use VobBlanker to correct the structure errors and then use Shrink.
Or you can use AnyDVD and rip the DVD to HD also. When AnyDVD rips the DVD to HD it uses FixVTS which is similar to VobBlanker. Then use Shrink.
If it still gives you the CRC error code then it is usually a bad press or scratched and need to be returned for Exchange

Scuba pete I was wondering if the settings you mentioned on page one of this thread are still the same with the newer version of DVD Decrypt or if they have changed slightly. You suggested this for problems DVDs. Quote: I'd like you to check your DVD Decrypter's settings. First, it should be version 3.5.1.0. Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO Read Mode", "tick" "Remove PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is an excellent setting for dealing with scratched discs which may cause ripping problems.
Some people like ripping with DVD Decrypter using the "File" "Mode" BUT, especially for episodel-type DVD's, I feel that nothing can beat ripping the DVD using the "ISO", "Read", "Mode". After you've ripped your disc using the "ISO" "Read" "Mode", open DVD Shrink go to File", "Open Disc Image " to locate your ISO image - after allowing DVD Shrink to load up the image, just process it as usual then burn to disc using your burner of choice.
HINT: If you are going to burn with DVD Decrypter, DON'T FORGET TO - go back to DVD Decrypter after ripping, to reset the "Mode" from "ISO - Read" to "ISO - Write".

So are they already on a DVD or are they on your HDD and you want to burn the files to a DVD? What format are the files in?
