I hope someone can help with my problem.
I installed the LG drive and I can view a regular dvd so it is hook up correctly.
when I put a wii game dvd and run rawdump
I get a error from framework saying "unable to load DLL 'rdumpdll'
if I click on ignore error, rawdump shows on the screen but no game name shows but the LG led flashes a few times and that is all I get.

I am running windows2000 pro service pack 4.
and net framework 2.0 ( which is really v2.0.5727)
I found a couple different versions of framework and tried them all with no luck.
I am out of things to try.... has anyone had this problem?????

Is rdump.dll in the folder that your rdump.exe is in? It should be, there is an app.path & "\rdump.dll" reference to it in the program.

If it's there, then delete the folder and re-download the program. It's not a .net framework issue.

Hey, Thanks so much for your help.

I must have downloaded a bad copy of rawdump 2.0
because when I extracted it I only had rawdump.exe and no other files.

after I read your info I re-downloaded a new copy of rawdump2.0 and extracted it and there is the missing DLL.

it is running perfect now!

Thanks again !!!!!!

I did rawdump of my wii play disk.
after 3 hrs it completed.
I check the size of the .ISO and the size is correct 4.37 (4,699,979,776)
using Nero I burned a image to TDK -r DVD at 2X
the burn was sucessful.
put the new backup in my newly wiz chipped wii and the wii cannot read the new backup.
I don't know if the problem is in the backup dvd OR the chipped wii.
I tried to read the backup dvd but my computer says error reading.
should I be able to look at the files on my backup dvd using my computer?
from info on this thread I tried to use Nero to make a copy of the backup DVD and Nero says error reading. does this mean that my backup dvd is bad? and that my chipped wii might be fine?
I plan to buy some verbatim -r 16x later today and try those.
I really don't want to take that wii apart again.

Thanks for you help

I don't think you'll be able to look at the files on the disc, even with the LG DVD drive. I guess I never tried on a backup, but I know you can't with an original. The very first thing I would do is put the (new one you just burned) game back in the LG Drive, fire up RawDump, and see if it recognizes it as a Wii disc. (If it's a valid game, it will show title of the game, but you might have to start it and cancel to see) If it shows it as a valid game and starts ripping, then the problem is in your modchip. From the sounds of it, that might be your problem.

If you know somene who has a modded wii and can get your hands on a backup that definitely works, that would be ideal to test it out before ripping apart the Wii for round two of soldering...

@mrgreen2

Try using ImgBurn instead of Nero and burn at 4x speed

That sounds like good news to me! :)

I have used Sony DVD-R discs (I think 16x) and Nero almost every time I have burned, and it always works. I tried some generic ones just to see, and they actually worked also. Not sure what brand or even if they are + or -, they are just silver-topped ones with no writing. 2x, 4x, and 6x have all worked perfect on both media on both my desktop and laptop.

Hopefully new discs work for you.

Crapadoo, that's not good. Like I said, I never tried to read a backup, and I just put a game in and started ripping right before I read this, so I can't check now.

Hey!
Nope, for burning any DVD burner will do, but for usage with Rawdump you need to have an LG...

Problem !!
I made a backup of Driver Parallel Lines. Stupid as i am, i deleted the .ISO file right after the burn proces... Is there any way to make another copy of the game ?? When i use Rawdump V2.0 again it says: error, arithmatic operation resulted in a over flow

update***
I just tried burning verbatum 16x -r dvd and still the chipped wii won't read back up.

If anyone has installed the cyclowiz V2 in a wii with db2 chipset can you tell me if the led on the cyclowiz is on with no disk in the wii or does it come on after you install the backup dvd.
my led is blinking all the time, according to the manual that indicats that it can't communicat with the drive. but I don't know if you need a good backup in the drive for the led to be on and not blinking.
you can see the led with the face plate off and looking in the crack to the left of the drive, you should see it blinking or on solid all the time.
I still don't know is I have a bad backup or a bad wiz install.

anybody with cyclowiz V2 experiance here ?

This is very sad..... I found the answer to my own problem.
I have the CUT LEGs problem.
the manufacturer cut the legs on the D2B chip so it can't be modded.
here is a link to a fix, but it will be very difficult.

@ player110

Check out this LINK (just click me :P) for Rawdumpv2.0
Be sure you have the Windows update .NET v2.0+ .NET v2.0 SP1 installed!! Or else it won't work.

I can copy some Backups !!
I use Alcohol 120 % and i made succesfully a backup of the backup disc :P. But it doesn't work always tough...

Copying the game ISO file onto a SD card will not work, you need to burn it to a DVD. Besides, for you to copy a game onto it, the SD card must be larger than 4Gb. As far as I've heard Nintendo claim, the largest size SD card supported (for right now anyways) is 2GB

I got my LG drive today (8164b). Right now I'm backing up Twilight Princess. :)

Also I downloaded an iso and burned it onto DVD-R discs, (dunno what brand.) at 2x, and worked fine. Then I copied it to see if it would work on an other media I have; a cheap brand of DVD+RW I got from ebay and burned it at 8x in Nero and it worked perfectly. So that's great! But I'm thinking of getting different media eventually.

Anyway, this thread is awesome. Answers a lot of questions, muchly helpful!

Is it worth it? Yeah, if you want to play backed up games, it's kind of necessary!
