wow so now the ps3 bacically has a ps2 built inside as an extra, that will stop all weird emulations e.g on my slimline ps2 when i emmulae a ps1 game it has all these weird boxes at the top.

its fair to say playstation may not have been the inventor of 3D gaming, but it sure as hell had much better success with it

cant argue on you with that one.Sony has had the inferior gaming console in power every time out and still seems to handle the comp.

wat r u talking about dngleberry? sony has won every counsol war since the ps1 it also had better specs than the saturn and n64. and ps2 did not have the greatest specs but was able to pull off some of the greatest graphical games like god of war, and shadow of the colasis and in specs the gc was better but the disk size made the difference hmmmmm. that reminds me of the x360 and ps3 not to mention the ps3 has greater specs.

ps1 had worse graphics and load times compared to n64 and ps2 had inferior graphics than xbox is what im talking about!!!

yeah and playstation has only won 2 wars not tons! so they better be prepared to loose.
because wii is going to win with its lame dreamcast grapics!.
naa xbox 360 as qite a fair chance i think i know lots of people who thorght xbox was crap an now they have changed their minds o get an xbox 360 instead of the ps3.
its not always the console that has the best grapics ect, its the one that dosent hvave lots of weird japinise fightng games at launch.

also why would sony loose? theres a country called japan i think u forgot about and u can't tell me the x360 is making headway in japan, i mean the first day it sold like 250 units. and the x360 is dropping its prices overthere that is how bad its doing. also people like those "weird japinese fighting games" all over the world, and the game lineup just overshadows wat x360 is putting to the table. not to mention great graphix, and last gen i thought a selling point for xbox was its graphix wat happened why did u change your mind?

ok, and did you know everyone uses windows made by the creator of windows so sonys playstation probaly wouldnt exist if microsoft didnt create windows would it?.
xbox runs on a lowered down version of windows and playstation runs of its own system that sucks.
anyway what im saying is sony have created a completly new system .
xbox runs on windows so its better because windows has being out for ages.
this is sory of an answer to your question.
and no i dont really play fighting games i pefer fps games ect.
i did play a fighting game on ps2 once and completed the whole thing in less then an hour.

so what color ps3's will there be? im guessing there will only be one or maybe 2. i believe the LE-SKU will be the greyish silver and the GT-SKU will be glossy black, because if they have multiple colors in the same sku it would be so confusing for customers and retailers alike.

I have heard people talking about if they could make a Ps3 Slimline and I don't think it is possible. All the fans, the ps2 chip in it, and the Ps3 Cell wouldn't leave room to make it smaller unless they Emulate the Ps2 and the Ps1 right off the Ps3 cell. Would/could it be possible. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Eventually sony plans to remove the PS2 chip set and use emulation and most likey the rest of the technology the system uses will get small. So it might take as much time as it took to slim line the ps2 but it's possible. Oh and it wont be as slim if they do it cause it's still gonna have more stuff anyway like the HDD.

its not true yet. plus explain to me how this could be accomplish? maybe the bluray laser burns a small amount of coding with the systems serial number on it, and its read every time? i highly doubt that they would do this because the system would no doubt fail, crashing and buring with the fury of a thousand suns.

i believe the wii seems more popular and gets more hits because people know what they want and need to know about the ps3, and everyone is mostly confused about the wii and how it works and why it looks so grapically not nextgen in any way. out of the wii, the graphics and the controller are my biggest turnoffs.

Im an avid 360 fan and sad to see how ps2 is consistently punishing the xbox 360 in sales by like 2 to 1.Now granted you can buy 3 ps2's for the price of the premium xbox 360 so in money standards MS is still making more over those months on consoles most likely.But its still stuff like this that shows just how loyal sony fans are.Ps2 is not as good as the 360 flat out lets be honest...it has a great librabry of games but xbox live,power,graphics and xbox 360 does have some great titles out now its just crazy.Hey but gotta give props to Sony at any rate no matter how irate it makes me

o right i think ps3 will get nowhere now, eve though it has the best grapics est. people are going for xbox 360's and even wii's.
playstation need to think out what there doing, and yes ps3 will evenchally have an emulator but not for a while as they cant emulate somthink they built.
