Quickest way is to:

1) Get the PADDED 1.9s from first post
2) Extract the image
3) Run Nero and BURN IMAGE at 4x using a DVD-R preferably.

The first post IS the step by step - use imgburn and if you need help give specific details of your problems.

Download the padded 1.9s image from the first post which has the size of a Gamecube disc so that the Wii could read. The original 1.9s is around 7mb, which requires to be padded (filechopped) to a GC disc size. Simply download the padded one and burn.

It seems too much to read in the first post, but take your time to read them all, it's very easy to follow. Good luck.

I downloaded and burned the non padded version. It didn't work. So I'm doing the padded one now. So all I have to do is start the Wii and go to the disc channel and this is fire up right?

Hey guys thought id update you's on the brick situation, you may remember my previous post's, if not i'll explain again as it might help someone else.
i had updated my wii key to 1.9g then accepted the update from SMG, after a few hours it would not play anything origanals or back ups, nothing would work, i've been away for a few weeks jsut back and tried again,
i performed the system update straight from the wii, then ran the wiikey recovery disk, all is working fine now, i also re- ran the update 1.9g disk just for he sake of it before tring SMG, all is good for now will update if any thing changes.
thanks for all your help guys.
one last thing will mario cart play ok or do i have to update again

Yeah - it's usually one of 2 things, either the wiikey isn't connected properly or you have a clone which won't update. Either way you have to open up and check. I'd expect it's a clone.

Damn well all copies are working ok. If it turns out to be a clone how hard is it to remove and fit a new wii key do you think it would damage the wii. Also I have orignal mario kart which is asking to update will this cause problems if i update the wii?

A pro can do it - anyone else ... depends how it's been installed cos there's different ways.

Mario Kart - I don't think the update should cause any problems as far as playing that game cos it's an original disk.

But updates can "upset" things sometimes - might end up not being able to play your backups... It's not a mainstream issue that should happen but everybody uses different media and burners etc and I read about it frequently.

Hi Forum. Quick question please. On the the new 1.4 config disk for the wiikey what exactly does turning " Disk Updates " to blocked do ? Other than the obvious. Will it prevent a Wii firmware update from disk ie 3.2 to say 3.3 in the future ? The obvious answer is yes I realize. What about the small updates however that don't increase the revision numbers. At first glance I'm tempted to leave it unblocked due to those small updates found on disks. The question probably seems pretty silly I realize but input is always appreciated. Thanks.

It blocks the updates from game discs of another region that's different from your wii.

Is it that precise ? If I was running Galaxy for the first time for example and I have a NTSC game and a NTSC Wii would it still allow for the small patch it applies ? If it's that precise that's a pretty kewl feature in my world anyway lol. Thanks btw.

If you have a NTSC game and NTSC Wii, it won't block the update. I personally don't have experience on that, but I do trust the wiikey team.

Perfect. Thank you. I have nothing bad to say about the wiikey either. People are just to impatient these days.

Absolutely Not

1.9S updates Wiikey not your Wii firmware

I am having problems because I burnt my backup of Pro evolution Soccer 2008 Wii edition and when i play the back up the graphics look horrible. Can anyone help me out?? Is there something wrong with the .iso file or is it normal for backups to experience this? Is my burner making the mistakes? Is it the discs Im using??

All the .par2 files were fine none of the .ro were bad
My burner is a MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857E (I have a intel macbook)
I am using Verbatium dvd-r and burning them at 2x, just to be safe.

Please if anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful.

I have a wasabi chip and so far its awesome! I recommend it to anyone.

Thanks
