Could anyone please help and comment on my situation?

What happens is I follow the instructions, and even the first time when I got to the menu it showed the disc as a GC game. Proceeded to finish the flash, twice. config NTSC disc still isn't recognized. Tried method 2, same result. Any ideas?

Hi,
What he means by 'Trucha' is 'Trucha Signer', a PC program that lets you extract and replace files within a Wii disc and then insert a 'Trucha Signature' that will make the Wii authenticate the disc. It allows you to play augmented games on Wiis that have been modchipped - for example, the gory version of Manhunt 2.
It was good, but too easy to fix. Nintendo simply released an update and it has now been rendered useless.
That's what it means in English :)
@Damnhor2
Sorry mate, I can't help. Wait for Rafa to reply ;)

So.. you did the update ... it ran the test and then the real update ... That's great!
Try the Hacked Config 1.3 Disc.

I can't try the hacked 1.3 config disc because I have a mac. Bat files don't work on a mac. I need an image file...

By the way, After the flash still only PAL config discs work.
Tried the 1.3 & 1.9 config discs - NTSC and the wii doesn't even recognizes them. However it does recgnize them in PAL format.
What could be the cause?, How can I fix this?
I know I semibricked my wii with a european firmware but I don't think that's it...

Hi peeps i have a really annoying problem, For months now i have been using my pal wii with wiikey to play my backups it has never had any problems reading media, but since i have updated my wiikey to 1.9s it seems to be very stubbon.
All the games i have burnt before the update will work as soon as i put the game in my wii but all the games i have burnt after the update will not run unless i reset/switch off the console several time.
I have tried different media verbatim dvd+r and tesco dvd+r all images burnt at 4x on my samsung drive which has the most current firmware on. all original games run all config discs and backed up gc games run but games burnt after 1.9s wont.
any suggestions as i am losing patientce with the console lol :-) oh i have checked chip all connections are fine.

Azeluk,
I have the same issue after the firmware upgrade to 1.9s. I tried reduce the DVD ROM speed to 3x and that fix the "Unable to read disc" problem and now all my backup games read correctly with no issues. You can use the Config disc 1.3 to change the read speed on the dvd rom.
Hope that helps,
X32

my wiikey bricked with 3.2u upgrade. will only play originals. I've made over 20 disks with all kinds of combinations of techniques trying to get wiikey working again to no avail.
I know the wiikey isn't dead because there was one time it recognized an update disk and i tried to hit play and it just reset... I also checked all of my my wiikey connections and all are fine.

Download the Config disc from the link in the post immediately above this one. Use it to turn REGION OVERRIDE on.

i've been reading through this thread for a while because my friend has the same problem where their wii cannot read any backed up discs. My curiosity is how does turning region override on make the wiikey able to read the backup disc if the backup disc were already of the same region as the console? I haven't tried fixing their wii yet, I want to gather as much info as I can before jumping into it.

Folks,
Anyone tried set the DVD ROM speed from 6x to 3x using the config disk? That fixed my problem after the Wiikey fw upgrade. Now I can read all the backups I have. I m just curious because I post my fix and nobody seem to take notice. This is probably the easiest test to see if that fix your problem.

I would do that if my wii read burned disks... I can't get it to read any burned disks not a config disk or a setup disk.

Hey peeps on the previous page i posted a issue i was recieving burning my wii backups i have just rectified the issue and thought i would post my experience here.
Originally i was burning my backups with a ricoh mp5240a with no fails, It started to experience power calibration errors so i took it out my pc and brought a samsung sh-s202h, mean while i upgraded my wiikey to 1.9s The samsung is a good drive but all the backups i burnt with it on verbatim dvd+r media or tesco own dvd+r media were mostly hit an miss if the wii loaded them so i thought the problem lay with the wiikey update as with the ricoh i had no read errors.
So tonight i had enough i wacked my ricoh back in to my pc and upgraded the firmware and burnt my mario kart to a verbatim dvd+r at 4x and my wii recognised it straight away.
I just thought i would post my experience here so that it may help some one with the same problem.
Just a query though i will be using the samsung drive still as the ricoh will only burn 4gig dvd+r while the samsung burns everything has any one had experience with this drive and can suggest a good 9gig media for it as i have a us version of ssbb and want to back it up.
many thanks.
Azel.

edj did something go wrong as you were updating to 1.9s mate? Power surge, dog stepped on powerbar, lightning storm?
It sounds like you have a bad flash here. Try the recovery disk mate (burn it, put it in your wii, wii will not read anything but that's what supposed to happen, reset your WII after 5 minutes and see if it's fixed).
It's worth a shot ya?
