Any game with 3.2 on it. Possibly Wii Ski or Wii Fit. Not sure. No doubt someone will be able to confirm which games have 3.2.
You could always just update to 3.3 via the internet.

My Wii Mario Kart also only updates to 3.1 luckly as I ran the update on My second Wii which had 3.0 running on it.It now has 3.1.
Also my Wii fit did not ask to upgrade the Wii firmware(PAL) so you might find that Wii fit does not have the 3.2 update on it.

Same here. My brother called me and told me he just updated to 3.3 so he could play the new space chimps. It read the game but then got that error: mod chip detected(or something like that) All the old back ups work on the wiikey. So if I take the Wiikey update 1.9 disc will this solve the problems? Will the 3.3 f/w even read the 1.9 disc? Or is he SOL?

Does the region indicated by the update/config discs indicate the region of the Wii or the Key (if there is indeed a region?)
Also, does anybody know what happens if you run the WiiKey update on a system that doesn't have a WiiKey? (I'm trying to identify what chip the system in question has...)

Hi,
My wii can't reconize the Config 1.9s USA disc. Can I download the Hex'd config 1.2 then put in my original confi 1.9s disc?
Or do I need to burn a normal config 1.2 disc to use the the hex'd 1.2 prior to updating with the 1.9 disc? I'm just trying to turn on the region free so i can play games from PAL and Japan.
I've installed firmware 1.9s already. Will using a 1.2 config disc brick my system?

If I updated my wiikey to 1.9x, how badly did I screw it up? is it recoverable? It doesn't seem to recognize any backups whatsoever.

I made a NES emulator disc with WiiUI v1.40, but the GC or Wii controller won't work. So how can I use the menu?

hi raffa, does the latest wii firmware update render the wiikey useless? Im considering buying a new wii for new games. Also, does wii fit have any update which is ill advised to install on a chipped wii. Many thanks

I am not able to read any backup disc or gcos disc or backup disc.
I have been searching thru the forum and try many discs (recovery disc,hex disc, gcos disc...), but my wii just doesn't read except original disc. My wiikey was on 1.2 and I accidently upgrade my wii to 3.2u. Since then, nothing works. HELP HELP.

can anyone inform this site if it is ok to update to 3.3e, there are conflicting reports that this doesn't work. also is it ok to switch on wii connect 24 as this seems to have switched off during last update, 3.2e?
any information would be greatful.

Just update my via internet. I had 3.2 I'll have to check to see what the new update is. Everything works fine - wii fit, marios, GC games. For those that want to switch wii connect 24/7 on I recommend that you don't - leave it off. The media? card can overheated and you'll see these dots of sorts on TV while playing.

I need to burn a 1.9 config disc as my 1.4 config disc cannot be read by my wii.I need to comfirm that my region is set t on because now my wii cannot read some disc such as this 1.4 config disc,last time can read but now cannot and some other games.Please help.Anyone can help me to solve this problem!!!

this is an issue that a lot of us are having. real games work fine but their backups and config disks do not. I have yet to see this issue to be confirmed as a wiikey killer...

Sorry but i have never seen this error before when trying to burn an ISO. this is what i get from imgburn
DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed!
Device: [:3:0:0] TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552D GA01 (E:) (ATA)
Unable to Lock volume for exclusive access
Reason: Access is denied
I am trying to burn 1.9gbootusa on verbatim dvd-r so i can get rid of the #001 error on my wii / wiikey
I do not get any errors when burning my backup iso just all the different 1.9g and 1.9s

Do you have Windows Media Player running?
This always seems to be the cause of a similar error on my system, but I normally just click 'Ignore' and let it continue anyway.......

i dont know how to edit my post so ill just quote it....if you hit continue the disc burns just fine (i feared i would mess something up so i didnt hit continue before)

i think 1.9 is just the newer version..
i'm not sure if config 1.2 is compatible with the newest firmware update which i have.
I just need verification so that I don't mess something up.

Ok so 1.9s (this one starts but then after the initial check when i press A nothing happens) or even the config disc 1.9x from the wiikey site didnt work. So I guess i am still on the 1.9g (the girls butt upgrade from wiikey). Maybe the problem was with the Nintendo firmware 3.3E (PAL), thats what i thought. So I used the new downgrader (with the homebrew channel through the TP Hack) and i passed it again to 3.2E. It worked perfect. Now i am back on 3.2E and the wiikey things dont work AGAIN (the 1.9s update stops at the same point and the 1.9x config disc doesnt even start, it tells me to refer to user manual). Again the funny thing is that my old backups all seem to continue to work fine, just the new iso's (KungFu Panda, Iron Man, Indy Jones, Mario Kart, etc) dont work, they never did, and they are all PAL versions like the old backups that STILL WORK!
So my guess is the Wiikey Team isn't really delivering the goods and i am even thinking of changing my chip to a Wasabi one which i am told works great.
Any help is apreciated, thks for your time.
I have a wii pal at 3.3E. When i try to run the wiikey update 1.9s, nothing happens, that is, it does the initial firmware check and then i press A and then... nothing. So i am guessing (from the youtube viewings) that i am still on 1.9g (the cute girls butt upgrade). Funny thing is my old backups work (DragonBall 3 etc), just the new ones dont seem to load (KungFuPanda, Mario Kart etc) and mostly i get the 001 error. As i see it, theres no way i can downgrade to firmware 3.2 (actually i had 3.1 prior, so 3.2 is no longer available at Nintendo) so how the heck can i upgrade my wiikey to 1.9s? It seems it doesn't update when it finds out that we are on a 3.3 firmware... Does this make any sense? i have asked wiikey.cn about this and am still waiting for their reply.
Any help would b welcome... thks in advance

you can get that update from the main wiikey website also.
its a piece of cake.
rule of thumb if you ever see an update and your system is modded dont update read and search before because if not you will pay the price until someone can figure out how to take you out the hole you put yourself in
