Speaking of Lite-ons what would you suggest? I was looking for another Beng 1655 but..... they are no where to be found and I heard that Beng is of the past. So I was thinking about Lite-on?

I bought the SHW-160P6S from newegg and it has been doing fine.
LiteOn fan myself just from my past experience with them.
If you want LiteScribe look at the SHW-165 models.
Check out newegg too for them - good prices.

I'm a loser as well? NOT!
I love the TY's as well, but getting scarce around here, [good natured ribbing] much like them world series rings on them Cincy Reds, that's right, been a while since anyone has seen them around here.[/good natured ribbing] Just wish they would still make the 8X TY disks for those of us who love quality.

@cincyrob
You may just have got a 'bad' original. One reason Clone will give you this error. Decrypter imho is better for ripping these 'bad' than CloneDVD.
Great score on those 16x TY's !!

juss a quick note to those who have chosen to upgrade to the latest Nero 7, the included "beta" version of Nero's CD-DVD Speed 4.61.2 beta is a bit different graphically and even though i can get the figures (scores for PIE/PIF), it's not as convenient as the most recent prior version of 4.61 :)

just a bit of info for those that are interested in being up to date with the latest versions of software programs (despite the bugs) :)

as noted before on several occassions, the relevance of these scans should be taken with a grain of salt as to how important they are, but just wanted to share a finding with you all as to the newest version~ :)

@cincyrob

i agree w/ binkie7 on your original of "Click", i had no problems doing it with Clonedvd2, you might just have a "bad press" of it, i would take it back for an exchange personally, even though you HAVE accomplished a backup off of it w/ RipIt4Me successfully :)

@all been real busy lately, hope everyone is doing well, good day/evening to you all :)

i can't speak for Doc, but i'm using BCIC on both my drives, no difference to me, it just works (hasn't made any difference on some 16x media where some funny anomalies are apparent but then again those anomalies were there in previous firmware revisions)

@Yujenh

Yah, I'm with creaky BCIC working fine on one of my1650s but haven't bothered flashing the other.

@creaky

Did a triple burn with 2 internal 1650s and an USB external LG on Office Depot Ritek 03 8X +Rs, using Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.18 in under 10mins. Was that sweet to watch. All play fine.

@aabbccdd

I had done double burns with identical benq drives(but different firmware). Then tried a benq and and LG, success. Then I tried all three together writing @ 8X. All 3 drives are 16X burners. If I had a fourth burner, I would try all 4. LOL.

sorry aabbccdd, missed your question, was too engrossed in The Addams Family movie :)

it doesn't matter what make/model burners you have, just as it doesn't matter what discs you use. ps one of my burners is internal, the other is USB2.0, i do 8x max on all burns and multiple recorder burns. as for discs i mix and match blank discs for the multiple burns, i often mix -R discs with +R, the +R's get booktyped nicely; basically it's an awesome feature, it just works a treat..
