i have all 16 files but it is still 7.93. should i finish it any ways or do i need to do something else

You need 16 files in the same directory including the pak2.file
Im not sure why your .iso isnt 7.97.
You might be missing something.

there is also an extracted file that contains two files inside. so i realy have 18 files. it is at 7.95 gigs. i dont think i am missing anything. does it have to be 7.97 to work

your files should be in the extracted folder.
But i know there are ONLY 16 files.

yea there is only 16. i am fucking stupid. i started to extract then canceled and that is where the 2 extra files came from. i have those 16 at 7.93. if you say it is good then that is all i needed to hear.

i just did a copy and it work find since i had already beaten the game i went to my save went to the end fight and saw the movie find so i guess it is a complete game copy

i followed the tutorial exactly and i cant get past the sony entertainment screen. i used apache 2 to make the iso and not dos this time. has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it.

this fix does work on the hdd but you have to use the patched hdl with toxic os .2 mode 2 enabled works great no freezing or load times either. also .psw files are password files incase anybody didn't know sonix is the man.

Done,I finally finished up all the movies and reconstructed the game tested it out myself.It is the full game nothing ripped out just compressed the movies worked like a charm.What I did was delete the all the .psw files and .pss files.So it would be something like this in the command prompt del *.psw and del *.pss which will delete all the movies and the password backup files.I then took all the movies I edited and copied them in the Extracted folder.Used the GOW tool to rebuild,and working like a charm to be honest.No skipping so far that I know of at the momment.I did have to relink some files when I finally reconstructed the .PAK file.I had to relink the .psw files,but that was all that had to be done.I am currently making a torrent of the edited movies I made,shouldn't be long until I put that up.I was wrong about how many movies there are prpl_haZe it is 66 my bad man.When I selected them all I highlighted a text file I was using at the time.Just wanted to let you know that I actually accomplished a full backup of GOW,and will do my best to supply the edited movies.

I burned GOW with a memorex dvd-r. I dont know if that might be causing it to stay at the sony entertainment screen, but i cant recall having any problems while following jiz's instrucions. Would the dvd that i burned it on make a difference? thanx for the help so far.

l-burna, do you know why i cant get past the sony entertainment screen. i have wasted 3 dvds on this bitch and i cant get past that screen. i followed the tutorial exactly. do you know what might of went wrong?

forget that last post. What did you use to load it. when i use it, i put swap magic 3.3 in, the dvdloader, then i put the game in, it says invalid disc. is there something special i have to do. when i open the flip top the disc is still spinning, so i use the tray to put it in.

i ripped GOW using decrypter like i have done for my movies and games, but for some reason im missing "PART2.PAK."
for the life of me i dont know how im missing it?
anyone have the same problem?

Pak.2 is the 2nd layer, if you forgot to extract it, or put it under another directory other then pak.1 it wouldn't show, or Unless you have ran the tool and finished the linking process, then pak.2 is imbedded in pak.1 so you shouldn't have a pak.2

WOW!! L-Burna, all I compress were JUST the bonus.pss movies!! I guess you could distribute the compression more evenly using all .pss files.

Yeah workin back up kind of sucks because you beat it and nothing happens.
burna could you torrent the iso? or i guess the viedos like you said,,.. then leave an instruction on how to put it back together?

Hello all,
I've finished burning the iso, and I'm only able to get to Sony Computer Entertainment at startup, but does not load the game. I may have messed up on the relink process. But it might also be because I have a Messiah 2 chip. Does anyone know if GOW backup will work with the Messiah 2 chip? Thanks.

Yep,that is what I have been working on for awhile,took me quite some time bro.The movies don't look too shabby either man,still kinda working on compressing them all in a .rar file and maybe adding in a couple steps so peeps don't get confused.I will probably upload the torrent to demonoid if anyone is interested in it.If you spend enough time on all the movies,nothing really has to be compressed that much and the quality is still there.Torrent is still kinda in making,will be up real soon.Sorry just gotta be patient at the momment,and if you could please seed the torrent also when I put it up.Makes it alot easier for the others to get the files.Will reply back real soon when torrent is accomplished.

game loads up perfect, but it skips a hell of a lot. I also can not get one of my magics to work. It is the Poseidon one i think, the very first one you get that is like blue electricity around you
what might have I done wrong?

Yeah I can supply a guide on how to compress the movies to make it all fit to DVD-5.It wouldn't take long to make a guide,but actually putting in the work is probably the hardest part and finding the tools is also another thing that might be hard depending on the tools.It takes a considerable amount of time,most people really don't have the time to mess with it.I am putting a guide in the .rar archive on how to inject the edited movies into the new .PAK file also.It is just two extra steps which isn't really bad,the .rar archive is still going to be kinda big though,been trying to make it smaller than 1gig by putting each movie in a .rar archive at a time so it doesn't take up alot of space.I will make a guide on how to make .pss movies real soon also.
