aabbccdd, I just ordered 150 verbs from them several days ago, before ending the order on the web it said 9.80 for S&H, I stopped the order, I called them, said whats with this s&h when any order I have done in the past never charged s&h ty's or verbs, she said it makes mistakes like that on the web sometimes and took my order with no s&h, she said next time it happins to fill my web order anyway and call and they will always discount the s&h.

LOL, LOL, ya simple is safe- BUT I get a itch to know what different media codes out... just like to learn all the diffenent media, AS a rule- all I use is TY and Verbs. I just wish the DL Verbs would go down in price, someday, someday...

As for aabbccdd...I'll leave him alone considering he answers a lot of my questions.

Cant help myself...greensman maybe he's a rapper and the record is stuck??? just joking bro...

Hey folks, I'm back with a question on media. I recently picked up an Epson RX580, which as many of you probably know, is able to print on inkjet printable discs. I'm wondering which media you prefer of the Verbatim and TY flavors, and maybe what sites you frequent when you're buying media like this. I'd prefer to buy DVD+R and stick with the marvelous booktyping feature, if possible. I've been eyeing some White 16x DVD+R Verbatims that are around $46/100, which is higher than what I'm used to, but that's pretty much what I expected.

I have a feeling that once I start using inkjet printable media, I'm going to be hooked on it, so I'd like to get started on the right foot!

Thanks in advance,
Marc

@aabbccdd: Thanks for the quick response! I've used all four of these stores on occasion, although not as much as some, since before now, I was buying basic Verbatims, which I would often find great sales on in brick n' mortar stores. Of course I use Newegg.com for just about all of my hardware purchases, though, since their prices are almost impossible to beat. Glad I'm on the right track. I'll just keep reading this forum, as you and others are always quick to post good buys at the various stores for all the top shelf media. I think I'll go check the other forums to see what the opinions are of the non-Epson ink cartridges and how best to maintain my printer.

I've used the Epson printers for dvd printing for about 3 years now.
Yes you will be hooked once you start printing on them!

I use the Taiyo Yuden -R from supermedia - good prices on them. I also get the non epson ink there too.

@aabbccdd
Have you checked out Apocalypto yet? Didn't think I'd like it but was really good

@binkie7: Glad to hear you've tried that ink. Yes, I've seen good prices on the ink before, but this latest sale was amazing. Regular price for two full sets was $48, but there was a 35% off coupon, which brought it down to $31.20, and free ground shipping. I figured even if the ink didn't work out, at that price, I could afford to take the risk! If I find a good buy on some inkjet printables, I'll be ordering some of those, too, but I'm somewhat holding off so I can use up a bit of my non-printable stock. :)

Yeah I had to try it - Epson ink was killing me $ wise.
I print quite a few dvd's and at $70-80 a pop to refill it I figured it couldn't hurt trying the non Epson.
Glad I did - I see no difference and the cost is less than 1/2!
