I think they are just for the local store as I can't find them on the web site unless I set it for my local Microcenter. Mine doesn't seem to be getting any new stock of them if you mean the 8x +R silver shiny Verbs in the 100 pack that say nothing about Verbatim on either the outer container or the disc itself but they ID as Verbatim in Imgburn. I haven't seen them any cheaper than $19.99 in a long while....

@Rob
The Saints didn't just come up with "Who Dat" They have been doing it for years. Maybe more than 20-don't remember- all the losing seasons seem the same year after year- ad nauseam!
Back on topic. I did get the fourth cake box 50 of the JVC TYs +R T03s.This time they were packed with peanuts also. No damage. Took over 4 weeks almost to recieve full order. But I would order media from them again. Not pc parts tho.

Wow garmoon. Never had THAT bad an experience. I suppose its only a matter of time though. I purchase online frequently. And my luck DOES suck LOL!
The only bad experience with them, was them holding the entire order because they ran out of a FREE item. Which was simply 100 free disc sleeves. I called them up and laughed when she said it was the free item holding up the order!
No, it wasn't disc sleeves, it was DVD case slips...
To delete, or not to delete. THAT is the question!

If I was that company (SMS maybe?) I would have shipped your order right away then shipped the free item when it became available. Holding up a customers order like that is really stupid & could cost them a customer meaning that person might not buy from that place again for such a mistake.

Yes, SMS. It was stupid, but I've been with them for a while now, so I'll give them a few more chances LOL! Meritline just doesn't seem quite as good...

The Verbs I meant are the ones OM usually has for 19.99 per 100 every so often. Now I know those lower priced ones are at the local MC stores. I hope they bring one here to the Apple. They had plans to like I mentioned. I couldn't pull the trigger on the last OM sale. Thing's were tight. Next one most likely though. Thnx to both of you for confirming the local store bargains.

today noticed that Office Depot has the TDK +/- 100 stacks for $20 in their B&M stores. These I believe will be CMC Mags.

I don't think ty makes any BR yet, I read somwehere don't remember where but the blank BR are still having problems, I have a feeling ty doesn't want to get into the the act till it's solved. That was some months ago maybe things are different now.

w/o doing a bunch of research atm.. I think you're correct Fred... BR is a VERY NEW and lacking technology if you ask me and I think that Sony should be penalized for it more than they already have been.... LACK of serious market share I think speaks for itself... I may be off here but I believe they have a LOW market share because of the issue with compatibility and cost associated with the BR disc. ;) I personally love the quality but how much different is it than the HD DVD media that came out a while back and how bout completely destroying that market somehow..... does anyone see that as a far way to create fair market value?? LOL.
Anyway... BR media and so on is very new and extremely "unstable" if you ask me. jm2˘

greensman: you pretty much hit the nail on the head, it was a farce wasn't it, also I'm not an expert here but I have talked with other people and read up some on other threads people do complain about compatability issues but more so on durability for some reason.
I know a fellow down the street from us a little, he invited me and the wife over one day, he lives in one of those big ass homes like $500 grand, hey more power to him, he's not much of a techie but buy's everthing that comes out new, last year his new kick was burning movies and music, and yes he has BR roms and burners, you should see his set up, wow!, he had it built for him, was I jelous lol, he said he shelled out about 4 grand for it, the sad part I know more about his system than he did, and I'm no where near like you guys, get the picture, anyway he did burn some BR disc's and about 6 months later they would not play anymore, I thought maybe it was just him screwing up till I read more people having the same issues, so how much more is there there to say.
These BR guys have no competition now, so of course there gonna drag ass, and thats why your last post hit the nail on the head.

Encode any DVD you want to H.264 which basically is format for Blu-ray and play it via a PC to a PS3/XBox360 and don't even bother w/Blu-ray Blanks. The Blu-ray movies have come down in price so a few of those if wanted in a collection not bad, especially until the blanks get better so as to rip that Blu-ray etc... ala AnyDVD/Fab.
I'm starting a new collection of what I really want to see more than once. Messed up during the learning process by converting everything to .iso for ease of burning w/ImgBurn via the Queue. Can't do squat w/.iso regarding encoding. So all those I'll just watch and out of those that I want encoded will have to get and rip to File format.
From now on anyone want a flic I don't already have will have to prolly get one to rip, unless I like it also. You live and you learn.

@all
I spoke too soon. I picked up a 100 stack TDK +Rs from Off Dep for $20 and they code out not as CMC Mags but Ritek F-16 001. Which I've used before as giveaways and that's what they were purchased for.

That w/tax included or no tax down your way? That's a very good deal as well, and I'm just about down to my last JVC TYS 50 PK. I just would knock myself in the head if the 19.99 Verbs come out here soon.
Ritek coding better than CMC MAG? Sale ends 3/6/10. Just checked ad.
